2008 like any other year had it's ups and downs. Obviously one of my major highlights was having Hayley. One of the lows was Caleb being in the hospital for pneumonia and him almost drowning. But you could look at those being a big up too. He is healthy and still here. I guess you could say 2008 was in some ways one of my better years. This time 3 years ago I was watching my grandmother die from cancer. I can't believe it's been 3 years already. It feels like so much longer.
I wish you a Happy New Year full of good things!

Hello. My name is Kurt Burger. I came across a note you wrote a few years back about my best friend Dan McGinley. I will often search his name in the internet to see what I come across. I read your note today and it made me smile.
I am curious how you came to write about Danny.
He was a great guy and friend. We had met when we were 15 and were tight ever since. I spoke with him twice the morning of 9/11 as his building was the second hit.
I have actually had a son in 2003 and named him after Dan. Dan's brother is his Godfather.
I have many more great stories about Dan if you're interested.
Thanks again for writing about him.
Kurt,
I signed up through a site and we were given a name from someone that was lost on 9/11 and we were to search and then write about them. I got Danny's name. I had a hard time finding a lot of info about him, but from what I read he seemed like a great guy.
Thanks for commenting. I would like to hear some more stories.
